Tomorrow is the big day! In one way, it’s the conclusion of an event that I’ve been working on all summer and it’s the beginning of a new outlook for many. Tomorrow I will head to my son’s school and I’m going with a purpose other than to check on their progress. This time, I’m going to take one more opportunity to spread the word about the AT&T #ItCanWait campaign. Tomorrow is also Drive4Pledges Day, so no time like the present to take a stand on this day and put an end to texting and driving.
I have a simulator…like the one you see below….
and I can’t wait to show the teachers and student leaders that one second really does matter. I am about to set the simulator up at home and give me own kids a quick lesson although they won’t be driving for several years, they do get in the car with other people sometimes and I want them to be aware of their surroundings.
Then tomorrow, I’m going to share a little lunch and some #ItCanWait cake with the staff and those students who have been elected as leaders by their peers. Hopefully I can get all of them to take the pledge and do as much as possible to see that their friends take the pledge as well.
So, as we roll into the end of summer, I’m excited to spend the day tomorrow with the students and faculty and show them how much AT&T cares and what AT&T is doing to educate and advocate for safe drivers.
